Description

This is one of the oldest and most beautiful designs. The inspiration is from the garden at the Palace Of Amer Fort, Jaipur, India. The first time this particular design of carpet was made in 1632 AD. Each block represents a tree of life and overall the pattern is called as the garden of Paradise. The advantage of this particular carpet is that it has many colors and goes well with most of the decors. Since then the same design carpets are being made in Persia now Iran.

The city which specializes in making this design in Iran is called Hamadan. People in the middle east Asian countries have also started addressing this design as Hamadan.Beside the Hamadan design there are two more designs from the same family that is Qum & Khatras the difference being in Qum basically there are more number of small miniature blocks. The Basic theme being the GARDEN design. Whereas in Khatras the blocks are elongated with the same garden concept.
